It's time to step up and get invovled!

Be part of the Residents Action Group for those affected by the Persimmon development

Dear Resident

Persimmon’s presentation and Q and A session last Thursday, illustrated that several layout, design and details of the proposals as they stand, do not comply with Ongar Neighbourhood Plan policies (ONP) and Ongar Design principles, including buffer landscaping zones between the new development and existing homes and protection of existing private amenity. Furthermore, Persimmon’s proposals are out of character with the location, which is at the edge of our rural settlement, rather than urban or suburban.

There is also a great deal of uncertainty about what road improvements will be undertaken, and how surface water flooding will be avoided. The lack of such essential infrastructural upgrades would affect the wider community of Ongar.

We therefore invite you to a meeting hosted by Ongar Neighbourhood Plan Community Group on Wednesday, 25th October at Budworth Hall at 7.30pm with the aim of: :

  • Summarising comments collected from Persimmon’s last Thursday’s meeting at Zinc Arts and additional comments and concerns, for submission to EFDC & Persimmon

  • To set up a Residents Action Group for those affected by the Persimmon development

We look forward to seeing you and your neighbours on Wednesday evening.

Kind regards

Mary
